I have 2 maroon clowns. Since I got them they have shared the same anemone every day and every night. A few nights ago, the bigger maroon sometimes rubs up in another anemone that I never thought was very clownfish friendly. Any ideas as to why the sudden switch?

As to why, I don't think anyone can tell you (still very poorly understood to begin with). However, what you experienced isn't terribly uncommon in tanks that house multiple anemones. This is especially true for people that have numerous BTA clones throughout the tank--the clowns will often "hop" from one to another. No worries, though--at least yours took up residence somewhere.

I have two BTA, one green, one red. My tomato likes to sleep in the green one at night, and play in the red one during the day. He feeds both of them everytime I offer him mysis. Its rather cute actually, but common I guess. He also liked the condy I had previously....... Quite the hoster..... lol

I had two BTAs in the same tank and put a tomato in there. He stole the maroons BTA and the other one. He defended both even though they were on opposite sides of the tank. I took the tomato because someone just left him at the store. It took me a little bit to get his tank ready. Once I gave him his own tank the maroon got their anemone back.

Also, I just noticed the larger maroon clown has yellow stripes and not white. I am sad.
