I have some fry that are at the riggler stage in my 125g and i want to remove them before they get eaten, How soon can i remove them from the parents?

Depends on the species as far as if the parents will care for them or not, but i they've made it to the wiggler stage, you can probably pull them now.

I pull my Fire mouth and convict fry as soon as they are free swimming.

Too late there gone, another free diner for the rest of the fish in my tank:( . If only the same thing would happen to my convict fry:evil_lol:. Maybe the cubans could do with taking a few parenting skils from my convicts, Still maybe i'll have more luck next time.

I would put the breeders in their own tank, then move them when the fry are free swimming, unless they are discus.

I agree with rdishop. I also think the other fish ate them not the parents. You should have more time at free swimming stage. My Dempsey's don't eat the babies till over 3 weeks of free swimming. I don't mean to say you have 3 weeks all fish are differant.
