I need to learn of any other type of skimmer model that is only 24" in height and can maintain a large tank up to as much as 400 gals for the tank is 240 and the new sump will be somewhere around 125 gals. So far im only able to look within the ASM other then maybe a euroreef. But 24" tall skimmer is the limit here to what I can go with, do keep this in mind. Thanks

I'd go with the ASM personally, one of the best skimmers on the market.

Slappy, the ASM are as the same as the euroreef, but what it is I not like is that the size skimmer I can get isn`t as I would like for the water volume I will have. FRor not only your the water volume, but the bio load as well. Right now I some suggestions elsewhere and one the skimmers are for a tank up to 500 gals and I think its only 22 1/2" and about $850.

I little time right now to do this search for the few skimmers that was suggested for I had to remove the AOL 9.0 VR from my computer because it causes the computer to act weird in some ways and the computer was also shutting down on me.

CPR BakPak? Nenonut, aren`t those the HOB skimmers your thinking about? I am not doing a small tank here, the water volume will be somewhere near $400 gals>

I'm sorry...I read through that 3-4 times and I don't understand what you're asking. :help:

The only difference between ASM and EuroReef is the needlewheel device in the sedra pump. The Euroreef has a mod done to the pump to make more bubbles. My friend bought an ASM about 2 months ago then contacted Euroreef and got the piece for the pump. Its as simple as that and u have a Euroreef skimmer for half the price.

Slappy and Scribble68, yes I know that the skimmers are as near to being the same and what makes this a rather difficult choice is that I cannot get the larger ER or ASM skimmer models that would be better suited for the water volume and I rather spend twice the cost on another skimmer that would be mor ideal for this tank.

But right this moment now, I some other type of problem. For Not too long ago I down loaded The AOL 9.0 VR and Had a number of problems and as of right this moment I had lost all folders saved in favorites, aol is trying to restore them>

This is so far one the skimmer suggestions I got and I believe that I will do the lights first and then perhaps I would get the skimmers myself without going through the lfs

On the Tunze DOC Protein Skimmer 9020 that even the height is great, I not ever seen this skimmer before and I think one calls it the Robot from lost in space or something.

Gang, the www.AC is an email address and the skimmers that are external installed, I prefer to stay away for those, as long as I some other choices to make. Also the HOB skimmers are out of the question for these tanks>
