New Cichlid Hobbyist

Hi Everyone,

I purchased an entire setup of a 30 gallon tank a couple weeks ago at a garage sale. I always wanted fish. I brought it up to a guy at work and he turned me on to cichlids.

I ran the tank for a week with the existing stuff (filter, bio wheel etc) and then have added 12 very small 2" or less, fish.

I actually registered on this site a couple years back when I was tinkering with the idea of a marine tank when I moved into a new house but that never materialized.

Looking forward to sharing my experiences getting started and eventual expertise.

Different types of Africans. Lithobates, Lemon yellows, bumble bee and a few others. They are all small 2" or less, so I am looking forward to watching them grow.
