I am looking for suggestions for corals for a newbie - that do not require daily feedings. I want to avoid mushrooms due to their ability to multiply quickly. Also, I travel a lot for work. I'm on the road 3 out of 4 weeks but am home on weekends, so daily feedings are out.

I am willing to buy required foods (plankton, frozen foods, whatever) - but again, assume direct feedings on weekends only. The more nutrition they get from the lighting, the better.

I do not have proper lighting yet, I will upgrade based on what corals I end up wanting (I'd love to save up for a Solaris - assuming they are as good as they sound - less power/lower heat/very adjustable, but I'm not starting there!). Please feel free to suggest appropriate lighting too!

75 g with 21-32x water flow currently possible - long term, considering upgrade to 2 Tunzes with controller (after the light upgrade)

There's not really many corals that MUST be fed. The non-photosynthetic corals like sun corals need to be fed, but most of the others can survive just fine with light.

I feed a few of my corals right before i do a water change, once a week, but only really because my nem needs to be fed.

They're all doing just fine.

However, I've noticed a reef tank really needs to be at least looked over once a day. Things get knocked around by the critters or whatever, and sometimes you need to address that before something dies.

all soft stuff is easy..why wouldn't u want mushrooms to multiply? if they do you usually can trade them...when stuff multiplys u can make some of your money back usually..also shows u have a healthy tank :D

How many days are you away at a time? I'd personally be concerned about leaving a SW tank for 3 out of 4 weeks each month unless I had a trusted tank sitter. Not because of feeding corals (others have addressed this) but equipment, temp, power, flood, etc. issues.
