Danios need a 20g+ and schools of at least 6, and do NOT cycle with fish. It's harder than fishless cycling, because of the continuous WCs to prevent the fish from dieing. They will also be exposed to ammonia and nitrites, and will have injuries to the gills and internally, will not live their full lives and will suffer.

Dwarf cichlids are too big for a tank that small. Rams need 20g+. Here's a very general rule, meaning there can/will be a few notable exceptions. The max size fish for a 12g is 3", except for schooling fish (their max, 2"). Very general rule, besides the schooling fish part.

thanks for the advice not to be rude i was looking for suggestions on which fish to later stock my tank w. i have very experienced ppl helping me my uncle has had fish for a very long time

but thank you for your concern =)

Are you intending to cycle with the danios? Are the danios going to be part of the permanent stock in this tank?

Fish keeping has changed a lot in the last few years. A lot of the old ways have been proven faulty, and we have a lot better understanding of what is required to keep fish healthy and happy. We aren't trying to be rude I promise you, but many of us consider fish to be pets that are worthy of the same level of care as any other animals, and unfortunately many people are ill informed on how to do this.

As for stocking a small tank...this link has some very good recommendations with pictures:
