tank volume please

i know theres some calculation, but i dont know what it is!! Ive been really wanting to keep a tang, since returning mine bcos it got to big for my Rio125, however i now bought a new tank, its 5ft by 2ft by 2ft, what would the water volume be? is it ok for a tang??

Sounds like a 55g. I have a yellow tang in mine but I'm prepared for the fact that he will most likely need a larger home eventually.

Whoops, I was thinking 4 feet not 5 feet. Apologies. I'd stay that was closer to a 90-100g

from that site, and my measurements, surely its a 100 gallons, well more actually, cos its a few more that the inches than the site has......man, this gets better...

BTW, the calculation is LxWxH (in inches) / 231= volume in US gallons.
