Without getting into a long story about the history of my job (which is still a budding business btw) I currently work making custom orthotics, working with/under a guy whos is basically fresh out of school this year, and just got certified tues. basically.
(he failed the exam, and then filed an appeal, which passed, so he is a pedorthist now)
Anyway, Now that he is certified, I will be working towards getting my pedorthic tech certificate.
Ive been working there since about april, making orthotics in the lab, and now have 100 hours to go
My question is, what kind of stuff will I actually need to know to pass the test.
Its a university level exam, and I was lucky to get out of high school lol. Dont get me wrong, im not stupid, but I have issues with school, and homework heh.
I dont really know anything about being a ped tech, or what I will actually need to know for the test. I do know a fair bit about the foot now, and I am a god at the actual creation of the orthotics..... or maybe not, in the eyes of the association
anyway, I dont want to get to the test, and realize I actually know jack about it, and I dont think the guy Im working with knows much about the ped tech exam either.
