I have a Precision Marine skimmer that I just put on my 40 gallon that has only been up for about a week.

When I run the skimmer there are a TON of microbubbles.

There is a ball valve going back into the tank, and a maxipump on the intake.

I need a mixture of water and air, almost a gurgle type sound going through the intake don't I?

Any suggestions to get rid of the micros?

Hi there i have a via aqua sk 388 in sump skimmer, works great. Anyway your quite right about the "gurgle" You should be able to adjust the water-air mixture though. You'lle notice that the more air, the more noise. Anyway the macro bubble issue is quite easy to solve. I presume you hooked it up straight to the tank not having a sump. Just put a piece of sponge on the outlet of the skimmer. This should work.:lipssealedsmilie:
