yea I kinda think bloodworms are more nutritional but shrimp is so much cheaper you can buy twice as much for the same price.

shrimp? what kind of shrimp? live tiny shrimp? mysis shrimp?

I think bloodworms.

I think bloodworms too, but the type of shrimp and treatment (Dry, frozen, live) probably matter too.

I think that bloodworms are probably more nutritous as well, although I agree that the way they are stored/prepared probably impacts the nutrients. I always prefer frozen over freeze-dried.

I quit feeding bloodworms after I started hearing all the horror stories about allergies and what not.....

I feed my fishies gut loaded brine shrimp. They love brine shrimp and I can vary the nutrition by what I gut load them with....

Blood worms(freeze-dried or frozen), black worms(live), tubifex worms(freeze-dried),mysis shrimp(frozen) and ocean plankton(freeze-dried) are better alternatives to brine shrimp. Brine shrimp is an excellent treat, but I wouldn't use it as a staple food. It really doesn't offer as much nutritional value as the others listed. Live or frozen brine shrimp is better than the freeze-dried.
Black worms and ocean plankton are packed with protein and nutrients. Good stuff.
For fry, Cyclop-eeze really can't be beat. It's also a great food for gut-loading larger food items for bigger fish. I've gut-loaded crickets with this stuff and cichlids really snap them up.
