I got a Jaguar and a Red Terror, both about 2 inches, to grow out in my 90 gallon and am having a problem feeding them. I bought them some Hikari Bio-Gold floating pelets, but they never come to the surface of the tank to eat. They have only been in the tank for 3 days, but I am still worrying about them. Is there any way that I can teach them to come to the surface for food? I was going to try getting some earth worms from the garden and trying them. Also I have tried some Warly slow sinking crumbles that a friend had. The Red Terror will eat them, but the Jaguar will only grind them up into find particles and spit them out. Any help would be very helpful as all my foods are floating. If I cannot get them to come to the surface what are some good sinking foodds for them? Thanks.

wow ummm. ok lol these two are highly aggressive predators that will eventually mutilate each other so I hope this is A VERY TEMPORARY situation. The Jag is almost strictly carnivore, so feeding him pellets is almost a no no. You need brine shrimp, earthworms snails, some form of live food no matter what it is, beefheart works. You need lots of meaty foods. Like a saum or oscar are carnivores but you can get them to eat pellets, that is highly unlikely with a jag at least. You MAY be able to have better luck with the red devil, at least until its liquidated by the fast growing jag.

EDIT: ok at first I was sure I saw red devil so instead of going back and editing everything I'll just say that a festae doesn't stand much of a chance with that jag, please do it and yourself a favor and take them back unless you have at least a 125 for the jaguar. That 90 isn't even big enough for just it let alone the festae as well. As far as keeping them together. Well that will never be able to happen in most cases. You'd need seperate tanks for them both. The 90 would work for the festae alone but the jag will need as I said at least a 125. AT LEAST
