Alright, I was at Petco some months ago and I found a new shipment of Angelfish. Well, I took one home and quarantined it.When I got it home it was not like any other scalare I've had. It was very sensitive and stayed in the corner, would not eat anything, not even bloodworms, and its fins were a torn . So I medicated it and and gave a lot of attention and care. I did many PWC's. It was like it was wild. I went to Petco the next day or two and the angels were gone and I'm almost positive they died. Now the angel is healthy but it doesn't look like scalare at all. It looks exactly like an altum. It fades all of its colors when it gets scared too. I don't think scalares can do that. Its too front fins are very long and they curl and the fish is large and tall.

Well I guess it's a scalare then. Now I need a favor. I need some suggestions on colorful peaceful small cichlids. Apistos look to small and dual to me. I have two Blue rams. Tapajos orange heads look nice but I can't find any info on them. The only apisto that looks nice to me is A. agassizii. Festivums look cool but i don't know how it will do with the neons and guppies.

Yup, Scalare. Poor guy's tail is a bit torn up. :(
I kept Keyhole cichlids and Kribs with mine, when I had them.
If you want color, Kribs may be the way to go.

Clean water will help him. He'll heal just fine on his own, but you can add Melafix if you'd like.
