wat kind of back ground is that on ethe first pic? its awesome

I'd get rid of the common plec if I were you. More cories and stick with smaller species of botiine loaches instead of the clowns.

The backround is painted foam with rocks and plants attached to it. Got it at local pet shop. Also seen it at Petland. It's availiable in different sizes.

Very nice.

awesome background on the first tank...the second tank is nice too, but i'd probably try to spread out the plants so they are spaced a bit, that way you might see more of your fish darting around between....more activity is more fun.. nice rock structure though? are they just piled like that, or did they come like that?

ive heard that foam leeks chemicals into the tank which are harmful to fish
just what ive heard

I'd get rid of the common plec if I were you. More cories and stick with smaller species of botiine loaches instead of the clowns.

Common plec: 12-20"
Clown Loaches: Groups of 4+, 12-16"
Albino Cories: Groups of 4+

Just adding a bit to the comment above, and btw those tanks look wonderful I wasn't sure if it was real or fakely planted in the 80g at first ;)

Looks very nice really like the back ground in th 1st tank...
