can disconnect my protein skimmer for a week??

hello all! Is it ok to have my skimmer disconnected for about a week. I have a 75 gallon saltwater tank with a fish community

There are some people on the forum who actually have success without running a skimmer for years. I personally think skimmer can only help. If you're really unsure about unplugging it for awhile, just make sure you keep up with consistent water change schedule. That should help a lot.
