duckweeds?

i dont have any duck weed before but now it grow in my aquarium.

i swear i never everboght any or ever have any in my tank before.
any ideas y this happen??

I'm being very serious. duckweed can propegate from almost nothing, and if you have even a bit of a stem or a leaf in a bunch of plants, it will multiply. it grows so fast, they use it to filter waste water in some places. it's great filtration, food for koi and others.... and supposedly an efficient protein generator. duckweed is a wonderplant.

i found it in the little corner where i put some little stem od some of the bunch plants that is to short to plant ,so that must be where it come from

I had it growing in my tank, I liked it until it took over the entire top. I used a fish net to thin it out, but I guess last time I did so I thinned it out a little too well, and it has disappeared. Mine came the same way, like most everyone else, as a hitchhiker on another aquarium plant.
