View Full Version : Is this a good stocking suggestion?

Ive set up and cycled my 25 gallon tank, its all ready to go with black gravel good rocks for caves and a mixture of fake and live plants. Now all I need to know is...if my stocking idea sounds ok.
Im thinking of adding a pair of kribs(1 male and 1 female). Maybe 5 or 6 zebra danios and possibly 2 or 3 platys or swordtails.
Any thoughts on this?

kribs can be very aggressive when spawning. Do you have another place for them or the other fish if it becomes an issue?

Umm not really no, I have a fish bowl that i guess could serve as a very temporary home for the platies and danios until the kribs are finished spawning? nothing permenant tho I only have one tank at the moment.
A fishbowl is not going to work. All your fish will only get cramped and you need to provide them plenty of swimming space to swim around. In this case, you cannot have a pair of kribs unfortunately should you want them to breed.

hmm fair enough, how about if I put 2 female kribs in ther so no breeding?, any problems in doing this?
