Why has my mushroom curled up like this? I've never seen them do it before!

It's opened up again now! First it looked like this but now it's gone flat again, why did it do that?

Mine does that occasionally if it either caught some good food or needed to poop!

Completely off topic, but what kind of lights do you have? More specifically, what kind of lights are sufficient for keeping mushrooms?

BTW, glad your mushroom is in good health.

Agreed, it was eating. We started a thread over in the reef forum a week or so ago that has photos of various corals eating. You'll see a mushroom or two doing the same in the thread. In fact, you ought to post your's there as well so other newbies can recognize what it is doing.

I only have 2 t8 tubes and a t5 marine bulb, will hopefully upgrade to MH one day though cos I'd like some anemones.
