feeding brine shrimp

Does anyone feed frozen brine shrimp to their malawi cichlids to supplement their diet and if so how often? I've heard that too much protein causes malawi bloat and wanted to make sure on how often this practice can be used.

I feed my Malawis frozen brine shrimp and bloodworms once a week. A cube of each and it really brings out color and breeding behavior.
