Im going to the LFS today and i am probably going to buy a tank to day and i need help with whether to get just a regular 20g tank or a BIOcube. PLease give your input the tank is going to hold a NANO Reef with just some beginner corals (such as mushrooms and zoanthias) and it will be stocked with most likely one watchman goby, false percula clown, firefish, and a lawnmower blenny also maybe a shrimp.
Any advice is appreciated!

personaly, i would go with a cube...the only down side is gonna be less surface area for agitation and gas exchange...but, i like them...oh, and i would personaly only put a couple of fish in a 20 gal tank...but, thats just me of course...

Well, the biocube, I believe, has all the filtration and such built in, as well as lights.
If you go for a standard 20g, you're going to have to buy pumps, lights, etc...
Just depends if you want to be able to pick your equipment, or if you'd rather just have it all-in-one.

It depends. Personally, I'd rather pick my own equipment, but that's just me. For a lot of people, it's a lot more convenient in the all-one format.

yea but i figured having a biocube or aquapod would be easier to have when i leave for college in 2 years what do you think?

Yeah, a lot of people really like them. I say go for it. If there's something about it you don't like, you can always mod it to your liking.

yea now my dilemma is go with the oceanic 14 gallon or the aquapod 24 because 29 gallon is to big for the college i would like to go to which is purdue university. I know this is about 2 years into the future ( about to start school as a junior in high school aug. 20th ughhh!) but it is still something to consider. I have heard problems with the 24 aquapod cracking and also having not as good of a filtration as the biocube. The biocube i have heard is hard to mod and apparently fish tend to get stuck in the filter vents. so i am undecided right now.

Will Purdue allow those sizes? Some of the universities cap it at 10g

the university says and i quote "Pets are not allowed except fish" so i assume that means it has to be moderatley small and i figure a 14 biocube would be alright but i think the aquapod is on the edge
