1 oscar would do ok in a 55 gallon but would be better in a 75 gallon. 2 oscars u would need a large aquarium about 125 gallons

A single oscar would do fine in a 75. As for a pair, I would say 90. People are going to tell you 55 but dont listen to them.

1-75
2-125, but 150 is better
75 gallon for one and 125 gallon for two IMO.

Yup, most knowledgable aquarists that have raised them will suggest 75G for 1 and 125G for 2 Oscars

You can get away with a 75/90 for two, for a fair amount of time, but they will need the 125. Most folks that I know of try the smaller tank, and then want to add more since it looks empty.

MINIMUM is 75 for one and 125 for two. Note MINIMUM!

I gotta agree with the majority....75 for one, 125 for two. You can still run into problems with two oscars in a 125 if they dont like each other.

I would want a 90 for one. At first, it will seem so empty, but if you have seen a full grown oscar then it will make sense. They are like footballs.

when the oscar is full grown at least a 75. if you get a smaller or medium oscar and want to put it in a 55 to start, that would work fine for a period of at least several months to maybe even close to a year, but once they get closer to full grown, they need at least a 75.
