What are the best schooling SW fish you can get???

QUESTION-------- I saw a yellow fish at my LFS and when I asked him why it wasn't very active he said that the fish is better in schools of like 3. But I don't remember the what the fish was called.....it was yellow with a pretty wide back fin, like the ends of the fish's back fin extened back. Very pretty. If anybody can help me with the name that would be great and tell me what the best schooling SW fish is for the home aquarium??? Thanks

Not sure about the yellow fish you saw, but my favorite schooling fish are the bannerfish.

It may have been an Anthias you saw they're supposed to be good in groups. Cardinals are also supposed to be good, I have two of the Bangai's but my schooling group is my Chromis.

Hi Batmanjay...

I'm a newbie in the hobby... But I have 3 blue/green chromis.. and they are always swimming together and hanging out in my 65gal....

I love it.. its pretty cool to watch them chase eachother and just go back and forth...

I agree with CatPickles...it was probably an anthias. Beautiful fish but although they aren't terribly big they need lots of swimming room.

For the average tank I like chromis or cardinal bangs for shoaling.
