Help please, I have just introduced some 4 new fish to my tank, the 2 neon tetras that I put in died and my silver shark that I have had for 8 months has now got skin flaking off and looks sick. Will stress cause this or have I got a problem with the health of my tank?

Will need some more info before anyone can give you any advice, like:
Tank volume?
All tank inhabitants?
Water paramaters (pH, temp, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate)?
Age of the set-up?
Also info about equipment (eg filter), any changes and maintenance regime is helpful.
It's possible the new fish were already diseased and it spread but without knowing the stuff above its hard to comment.

Neons are not a hardy lot when it comes to moving them and acclimation. Just for the future, this is a very good reason for a QT tank for new arrivals.

I have a 75lt tank, in it were 2 silver sharks, 3 neon tretras, 2 black widow tetras, 2 stripped loaches and a small pink fish with big fins (can't remember what it is called) & 2 brown cat fish. I had just put in the 2 loaches and 2 new neons and the 2 black widow tetras, I put in a product called TLC when I put the new fish in, it is like stress coat. I have now lost 2 tetras, one of the sharks, the biggest one, 2 loaches, and the little pinkl fish there is no obvious signs of anything att all, I took the dead fish to the pet shop I brought them from and they couldn't explain it either. Last night we did a 50% water change and put in some TLC, this morning I found the little pink fish dead but none of the others have died yet.The pet shop gave me some malafix, an antibiotic to put in for 3 days to see if that helps I have tested the water and all the tests were normal. I guess I will have to just wait and see what happens now! My tank is 10 months old and is kept at around 26 degrees.
