So I went to the LFS a while ago, and fell in love with German Blue Rams. I had two bagged up (1m 1f) destined for a 10g tank and maybe even some breeding if I could. About a day later, the female went missing. I finally found her chopped up in my filter. Who knows how it happened. But the male is fine, and since I've made some changes to my filter. He was in a bare tank for a long time, and I felt bad for him, as I should've. So I decided to do up a little tank for him and a Cory cat. So here it is, my 10g tank. It's not spectacular, but I decided to experiment abit. Here you go, 10g tank and Snooze the GBR:

Sorry I'm no maestro with a camera or plants. But I think it turned out nicely. :)

Beautiful fish! I can see why you wanted to make him such a nice home 8)

I also like the plants and sand.

Please consider taking out the leaves. Just my 2c, they will decay and mess with the water quality.

nice tank :)

Very nice!

he looks so cute, sorry about your loss. I like the setup

Thanks everyone for the compliments. :) Soon, I will be replacing that round rock on the left with a peice of Malaysian driftwood, and I'll be putting some Java Moss on it. I also plan to let the tannins leach into the water, because there's some in there now (from the leaves) and since it makes the water darker, I think the fish seem more secure, and the GBR's colours really just "pop". I think the tea-colored water makes it look more natural.

Once this gets all settled out, and my Convict fry move out of their 20g long grow-out tank, I plan to set it up similar to this one, and house a group of 3 of Corydoras weitzmani, 3 Corydoras Panda, 2 German Blue Rams (and hopefully I can get some spawns :) ), and a nice little shoal of Cardinal Tetras. So I'm really excited about that. What do you guys think about putting in some red oak leaves once they're dried out? I think the brown mixed with the tannin-stained water would be nice looking, kind of like you're diving in their natural habitat?
