My dalmation that I've had for several months is beginning to have distinct shades of blue in her scales, most pronounced on her tail. Is this normal for a maturing dalmation? I just want to make sure it's not some sign of malnutrition. It's not a fungus or anything growing on her.

it sounds kinda weird.. but they can kinda change colors as they get older. We had an orange live bearer of some sort that was orange for her whole life and then turned mottled orange and calico colored for the last year of her life.. it wasn't an ailment.. she just changed colors... she was still mostly orange, but just a little bit of the calico on some places... it was weird.
that being said, i dont know that blue is a normal color variation in mollys. so it could be something more.

have any pics?
blue is an odd color for mollies, but it could be a very light form of black.
