Sump Baffles

Quick question, does it matter how thick the glass is on the baffles I use in my 30 gallon sump? They will be about 12" wide and any number inches tall. Do I have worry about 1/16" thick Lowes glass? I personally don't think it is holding up enough water in each chamber to worry about, but I want to check. If need be..I could double them up.
