I went to the store with the intention to purchase 2 neon blue dwarf gourami, and ended up confusing them with regular blue gouramis. They seem to be doing alright, but the one seems to be chasing the other one around a bit. Im not sure if this is normal, or if they are fighting. I was planning on adding some tetras next, but will they be ok with the blue gourmais?

What size tank do you have?

Ours are 3 spot blue gourami's, they were in the 29 and the smaller one got a few of its fins bit, mostly the tail, we ended up trading the aggressive one in at the PS. so now were down to 1 3 spot, there color full fish, ours are a Pearl with a blue tinge and black markings........:)

Fish stores will actually let you trade in fish? Is this common? I may have to do that with the one. Its actually the smaller one chasing the bigger one around. I didn't know if that was normal behaviour though (like playing).

We spend alot there.........:)

I have a pair of 3 spot gourami and the male always chases the female around - he never hurts her, but chases and seems to 'nudge' her along....in another tank I have a pair of Gold gourami - same behavior, so guess it is normal behaviour!

Most pet stores will let you take fish back as long as they are healthy and the store remembrs you/you ahve a receipt; rarely will they refund thouh, but will swap you fish for something lese and maybe some food/accessories if there is big difference in price.

We took a plec who was destroying our 100g tank back after 2 weeks - we were also buying a new cannister filter at the same time, so they deducted his cost from the cost of the new filter....

Hope that helps!
