blood parrot sleeping behavior

we were wondering if anyone that has blood parrots observed thiers sleeping on thier sides? we thought at first they were dead and freaked, but when i stuck my hand in the tank they got up and swam like nothing happened, since then they sleep like that all the time. funny fish these blood parrots.

i have 2 parrots 1 regular and one painted . they also sleep kind of sideways and they also dig all the time, cool fish
