Hey everybody, well im finally setting up my new tank. It is a 75g. It will have a rena xp2 canister filter. It is going to house an oscar, pleco, and some dither fish. What I need is advice on the set-up of the tank. Gravel or sand? Where can i get large diftwood? Is driftwood even a good idea? How about hiding spots? I've seen those flower pot looking things and i like them but im not real sure what they really are. All advice and suggestions are welcome!

Gravel is what I prefer. What kind of pleco? It isn't really necessary and is a huge bio-load, as is the Oscar. Some common plecos will easily out grow that 75 with their eventual length. Driftwood is good, makes an interesting look.

it is a common pleco. I've heard that alot. I was thinking of going to the lfs and switching it for a bn but I think the O might eat it. Also if you guys could post pics of your oscar stups id really love it!

This is my old tank. Sorry that the pic isn't the best but you get the idea.

Worked fine for me, but the o's did start to outgrow it. I was in the process of getting a new one when there was an unfortunate accident. Needless to say, the only survivors were the CAE's. I hope this helps a little.
