Made a boo-boo can somone help

I just bought a 30 gal. tank and was 1 day into a fishless cycle but I got a little ahead of myself. I wanted to fill the tank up with water to start the process but I had not bought my decorations yet. I went to a decorative rock place and purchased two rocks that had quite a few crevices in them. I thought that I had completely cleaned them but when I went to place them in, sand and dirt started coming out of the rocks. I realize that I shouldn't have got in a rush but do I have to start all over and refill my tank? Is there any other way out of this?

You made a Boo-Boo by posting this same question across 2 different forums. I know you really wanted help but try not to do that. I saw same question by you in general freshwater. Now as punishment pick out one of those dirty rocks and clunck yourself in the head with it!! :D

Ok last part was J/K. The dirt will be fine the filters will eventually get it and what settles to the bottom you can siphon out. Next time if you boil the rock for awhile you will get most of the dirt out.
