wrong root tabs?

I was out on a pet supply run today and picked up some root tabs-- Pond root tabs-- for my 40 g planted. Are these gonna be okay to use? It is Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Pond Care.

I dont know whether they are or not, but when I found those a bunch of people advised me against using them. Something about Urea, check the ingredients.

so you CANT use pond tabs for indoor aquariums?

I'd say to stick on the side of safety, use Flourish tabs or other tabs meant for aquariums. Are pond tabs that much cheaper or something?

how about using very small pieces of the stick fert meant for indoor house plants? I put about 3/8" of one under one of my plants but have not seen any dramatic difference yet.

Usually ferts for house plants are a bad idea in fish tanks... for one the concentration and ratios are way off...

I only use Flourish tabs. I have tried other brands with BAD results. I would never use anything that was not created for aquarium use and fish safe.

If you have a doubt, throw it out!
