Stocking new tank

I have my new 38gl tank and want some ideas on stocking it. I got it because i need to separate my redtail and rainbow sharks. Anybody got any good combinations that deal with either of these two fish? I want to get angels or convicts but don't know what goes well with them.

In a 38 gallon you could easily do a pair of convicts.

I've had redtail sharks with angels and had no problems, but they were raised together. Some people find redtails and rainbows to be very nippy and/or aggressive with other fish. That hasn't been my experience either. They do tend to squabble with others of their kind though. Either shark will get along fine with convicts. I'd have to advise against angels since they aren't starting off as juvies together.
