How long after an apple snails mates until it lays eggs?

i wouldnt hold ur breath the female can hold the male sperm for months, good luck an keep us posted.

And on the other hand, two of mine mated a few days ago and last night she laid another clutch of eggs.

You may be excited now, but remember this: Once she starts (laying eggs that is), she won't stop. And I mean that. Until I got rid of my busy males, between my 2 females, I was getting about 3-4 clutches of eggs PER WEEK! Oh the agony.
Mine were "doing it" all week last week. This morning I woke up to a clutch of eggs. Thing is, I have two females, one male...and he was enjoying them both, so I'm assuming I'll see more eggs soon. Just make sure there is a dry place for her to lay eggs and you'll see some sooner or later.

Yea I know, I got overrun with them before, now I just sell them when they're babies.
I lost the female this morning, I looked EVERYWHERE! ...she was in a cave :o

i'm new to this whole snail thing. i have two mystery snails (gold and blue). how can you tell if they are male or female lol and if they are breeding.....as strange a question that is... im really wondering!
