Thank you. In probably a week or so I will have updates of the whole tank. AFter the vacation fiasco I got a nice algae explosion also. Its mostly contained already, Im actually surprised how fast it bounced back.

I listed an ad in the wanted section, to try and replace some of the fish. There is a brief explanation, basically autofeeder gone wrong.:mad2:

The acaras are actually becoming my favorites. They pretty much like apistos. The colors on the fins are becoming a super bright orangish color. Theyve got a bit of personality too. I miss my discus, but Im am quickly learning to like this assortment alot.

ok...I've found someone else with a 180 planted formerly discus tank! Can you please tell me the specs on your tank as far as lighting, plant food, what sort of media in your filters, CO2 or not, temp and substrate? I am trying to build up a nice looking discus tank. So far I have the tank, gravel and sand, some plants, I have full spectrum lighting that I used for raising parrots years ago and was hoping would work for aquariums! It's 5000K ( really not sure what that means ) per bulb ( there are two ) and looks really pretty over the tank! I'm kinda new (obviously ) at all of this and want it all right before I get my fish in there....don't wanna loose anyone! Thanks a bunch.
