If it has anything in common with a true Texas Cichlid, it will grow quite large and eat everything it can swallow in the tank.

In my experience, anyhow.

I'm not so sure about any hybrid species... what is it a hybrid of? Red devil and Texas? Devils are a force to be reckoned with as far as aggression goes (hence the name). A hybrid of those two would be a single-specimen tank, whether you wanted it or not...

For the record, I don't support the hybrid trade. There are too many options for species that haven't been "monkeyed with" for me to condone forced hybridization.

I didn't think they were hybrids, but either way it will be a very aggressive fish. Probably a 4 out of a 5 scale or so.
