I've always thought vivariums/paludariums were pretty interesting but I always wondered, how do you do water changes? I tried a 5 gallon paludarium once and I wasn't exactly sure how I would be able to change the water in the tank. How would one perform a weekly water change when the tank is half full of water and there isn't enough room to start a siphon using a gravel vac or a siphon?

small python you hook up to the sink would be the only way i could think of. hopefully someone else will have some better ideas :)

I just use a regular gravel vac -- the smallest they have. Suck the bottom end of it to get it going, put that end in the bucket, and I have gravel at the bottom of my water so I just go through the gravel and get out depris getting out the water at the same time =)
