I want to make an outdoor pond at my house. It will be 200 gallons. 8'x4'x10". I am worried about the heat. There will not be any direct sunlight, but I will hang a shop light over the pond. The heat down near Miami frequently hits the 90's in the summer, sometimes in the "winter" too. The pond will be out side with a heat set at 82. If the outside temp. gets to 90 degrees, will the water in the pond get to 90 degrees? Im worried if we get a heat wave my fish will bake.

Thanks for the help! : ]

Do I read that right that you are only making it 10 inches deep???:thud: :eek3:
If so, that's way to shallow! 18 inches to 2 feet is really the very minimum but three feet deep is best.
The water will get pretty warm in 10 inches. My pools and stock tanks will get to 90 degrees or a bit more on our hottest days.
