what watt ebo jager should i get.

the 200 watter is "suggested" for 60-90
but according to the 3watts per gallon rule of thumb, i should go with the 250watter which is suggested for 90+.

what should i get for my 65 g. thanks

That would depend on what the temperature differential is outside of the tank. If your tank is in the basement and it's 25 degrees colder than what you want your tank tempature to be, you may want the bigger heater. Otherwise, if you room is between 68 and 72 degrees and you want to heat the water to 76 - 80 degrees, the 200 watt model will be fine.

Also the bigger the heater i have heard the less energy it expends. Less on off times = cheaper bills

Also dude if you go by the 3 watts per gallon 3 X 65= 195. 200 watt would be fine.

yeah, thats what i thought in the first place. but there's a 2 dollar price difference between the 200 and the 250 watter. 50 more watts wont hurt. neither will 2 dollars

For 2 $ more I would go with the 250 also. The extra watts will help the heater to not work hard.

In my 66 gallon I have a 200 watt thermal compact and a 150 watt tronic. It may seem like alot, but last winter the water got down in the 60s at times (with only the 200 watt, its quite cool in that room), and stayed at about 70 at the highest. Now with 2 heaters, I think it will be ok in the winter.
