I have 2 asian tiger crayfish (also known as Zebra Crayfish) in my 10 gallon tank it is smaller than recommended for 2 crayfish, this i know, there are plenty of hiding spots and caves and plants for them to climb up into, but the 2 crayfish that i have seem to get along very well, i have never seen them fight, they always are with each other, i built a big cave for them out of a few rocks and gravel and they both are in there and seem very happy. One is male and the other is female. Are they in love? lol, i would just like some input on the normality of this situation.

usually with crays it is an all out fight to the death unless they are about to mate.

i have been reading a lot about taking care of the babies and easing the egg laying process and such, i never see them fight, ever, sometimes they will lay on top of each other but from what i have read they aren't mating because they are just on top of each other, not one on its back. maybe one of them is possibly molting? although i did catch my female laying on her back once, i thought she might have died so i gave her a little push and she got back up

I would give them some time.

mine fight all the time when they try to invade each others territory, mainly the female chasing the male off.
