i know this is a fourum for fish. and i come here for all my fishy needs. but i bought an anole lizard today. and i was wondering if someone could answer my question.. im not sure where to post this or if i can at all..

but if someone could help me it would be fabulous !! =)

i have a heat light for him. and mist and whatnot. but during hte night will hhe be okay without heat? i have a heating pad. but that might catch my house on fire !! keep the lights on or let him get cold? :hypnotized:

thats all. hope someone can help and im sorry for postin irrelivant threads
 
Heating pad, as in a regular heating pad? I would just get one of those pads they sell specifically for tanks, I've never heard of it overheating to the point to start a fire.
 
I know nothing about these lizards. I have caught these for many many years at my grandmas. At one point I was gonna catch a bunch and sell them to the lfs...Instead of gecko's at my grandma's they have anoles.
 
You can get a infrared heat light to use at night. This doesn't disturb them. I'm actually working on their careguide for my website, so once it is up I can send it to you. I should have done it last night, but got lazy.

wow thanks guys! i didnt think anyone was going to reply to this!!. he was alright lastnite with no heat. im gunna go out to the lfs and grab a red light. for the little guy at nite. =D

How big is the tank?
If it's big enough you should get a few buddies for him/her:D
Did you get a brown or green colored one? I know the green ones are brown until they get mad or exited. But the actual brown ones are my fav. ,they look like little dragons :grinyes:
 
id say its about a 5-10 gal. and i got a green one. hes got a bit of blue around his eye. hes a real looker.

i was thinking about getting him a frog. but i dont feel like taking care of any more animals. lol. ive got fish up the wazoo!! a dog a cat and a hampster. lol.


ive got my chores cut out for me =)
