Can I use the carbon and ammonia together in my tank? I want to put carbon in my tank for two days to remove additives from my tank.

No, I was wondering as my lfs was out of plain carbon, but I just decided to drive the 55 miles to get the correct stuff.
I read the xenia molt due to stress? My confusion comes as why aren't all of the xenia in my tank sick? Or other coral, just those two stalks.
I was think because they were in direct flow this bothered them?

Are you referring to a carbon that also includes an ammonia remover? If so, the ammonia removers are effectively useless in seawater. Just spring for the carbon. Xenia can withstand quite a bit of flow and do just fine, but they don't appreciate direct flow at all.
