I only had him for a week. My nitrites were a bit elevated (.5ppm). I thought he would have been a bit more hardy

My tank is kinda new i had just finished cycling it when i added him

The rites were fine when i put him in they have gone up since

you should stock your tank from the top down. did you do any water changes? did you put any other fish in there?

How did you cycle? How long from determining it to be cycled and adding fish?
