The GAE/CAE will get very aggresisve and they LOVE to attach themselves to flat bodies fish (ie. Angels). Not a good idea IMO The same is true for the Mono...

Are you also aware that the Mono requires brackish water and is not compatible with your other fish???

BTW - many of the fish listed will not particularly like each other unless you have a realy large tank and a lot of cover... Like 250G +

The Gold (Kissing I belive?) Gouramis are very aggresisve with each other. They also don't like smaller fish, nor do they care for fish with long fins (ie. Angels)

Clown Loaches should be in school IMO of 3-4+ and require a LOT of room.

...and the Sharks are very aggressive especially with each other and other loaches!!!

What are you planning? What tank size? Are these ideas or fish you already have?

I'm afraid I am a bit concerned here, and I would really like to know your thoughts for each species as there are some alternatiove to each that would certainly work out well...

I agree with all of the above statements.

I believe that I already talked about this in a previous post...why are you still adding fish rather than taking ones back?

CAE- will get large, aggressive, and not a great algae eater

Gold gourami (not kissing btw ct-death)-first, they grow rather large (~6 in.) and may overcrowd smaller tanks. Second, the males tend to be very territorial.

Clown loaches- NEED groups! Also grow to over a foot!!!

Sharks- grow to 5-6 in, are aggressive, WILL NOT TOLERATE EACH OTHER!!!

Monos- NEED BRACKISH WATER!!! Also grow to 8 in. Do better in groups as well.

You seriously need to rethink stocking! Or buy a very large tank soon!

Rainbowfish are fine when in groups.

RTS and rainbow sharks have basically the same temperament.

So i wont have a problem with my rainbow sharks nipping at my angels then? and also do the gold gouramis get teritorial and need alot of coverage?

Wait rainbowfish or rainbow sharks? There is a difference.

Rainbowfish are peaceful, community fish that are active, colorful, and need to be in schools.

Rainbow sharks are aggressive, territorial, and are not a good choice for community set-ups.

I think you should return your fish before thinking about getting more!

rainbow sharks should not be kept with angels. they are to aggressive.

rainbow fish should not either because they are hyperactive and may stress the angels.

dont worry about tank size? anything under 250 gallons is seriously OS

Without the tank size, I would be reluctant to make recommendations....

Get the mono out of that tank! It needs brakish water. No two ways about it. Even if they are kept in freshwater at the LFS they will soon die if the water requirements are not met.

I returned the rainbow sharks so Will the angels be alright now talking about agressiveness towards eachother? and i will return the mono but y cant it live in regular fresh, and could any of my other fish live in brackish water if i decide not to return. BTW my fish are listed in my sig

it is important to know the size of the tank.

as mentioned i am reluctant to make any recommendations to stock without knowing the size of the tank.

angels will require 10 gallons per adult...you can get by with juvenile and sub adults with less. but it may impact their development.

gold gouramis will get to about 6" and should not be kept with angels.

Certain fish require certain water conditions. Monos need a brackish set up while the other fish listed will be fine in freshwater.

Also this might be a different breed of Mono Sebae because the store kept it in a freshwater tank for a few weeks now. In fact he kept it with Tiger Barbs which don't need brackish water.

First, just because a store keeps a fish in certain conditions does not mean it's right. People here have been telling you that the mono sebae is a brackish fish and they're right. Either what you have is not a mono sebae or the lfs was keeping it under the wrong conditions (happens more often than you would think). Second, clown loaches get absolutely huge, and will only feel secure in numbers. A 55 gal tank is just barely big enough for a group of four or five, but a 30 gallon tank is WAY too small for this species. The angels are the least of your problems, you need to fix the compatibility problems that you currently have in your tank right now before you start adding anything else. And none of the other fish are suitable for a brackish tank, so you're best off returning the mono sebae. Maybe you could trade the clown loaches for some yo yo loaches or skunk loaches, those species stay much smaller.

what are your intentions to upgrade your aquarium...i kept a juvie angel in my 30 for a month before upgrading to a 55 and putting it in there....beleive me that angel grew very quickly in one month....

if you were to tell us that you have a 75G cycling right now for some of your fish you could get away with it....

reading your sig its clear you like active, colourful and graceful fish, however the ones you have selected are unsuitable for a 30G...

instead of gold gouramis you could have pearl or dwarfs???

instead of angels you could have rams or apistos?

instead of clown loaches you could have dwarf botias?

instead of cae you could have otos?

what do you think???
