I want to breed live brine shrimp for feeding my cichlids. I was thinking of just buying a sea monkey kit as that seems to be the easiest. Has anyone tried this before???

I've never tried it. Many pet/fish stores sell inexpensive bring shrimp hatcheries. I imagine that they would be even more effective, since they're made for the job.

Here's someone who's tried it (seemingly successfully)

Although, I'd like to point out that this is not considered highly nutritious, since it is the yolk of the eggs that have most of the value. Adult brine shrimp (usually) give live birth, so there is no egg-yolk. Of course, theoretically you can powerfeed the shrimp before feeding them to the fish, to increase nutritional value.
I don't really know any details, so it's all hearsay.
