I have a ready to be occupied 55gal FW tank. I want a one species tank. I was think about the dwarf puffers and how many can i have? I would hate for them to hide all the time. I want a really active tank and thought that these would fit the bill, not sure though. Any suggestion would be great! Thanks Everyone!

make sure it is heavily planted, and you could have 17-20 of them in there.

you may also want to add some MTS to their tank. it will give the DPs something to hunt around for every once and a while.

OK... So I am not set up for plants... and i don't really want to have an extensive set up. Are there plants that i can get without having to put in too much?? I have a sand substrate right now. And just regular lighting.

The thing with dwarf puffers is they really need a heavily planted tank like jm said. If you are dead set on them I would check out this site:
