Went back to petsmart. While i was their some boy with his mom bought almost all the fish in assorted tank. I was lucky as their was one lab left behind. I lucked out. I'm sure the boy had very little knowledge of what he was geting.
I spoke with a manager. I was told the fish they get for the assorted tank are just various normal cichlids mixed together and sold like that for their small assorted tank. Before the the kid bought most of them the tank contained red zebra, kenyi, yellow labs and some other. This tank was next to the tank the bigger yellow labs were were sold for 9.99.
