i bought a little nano diffuser from ebay to sort out a DIY setup.

bottle/yeast/water/sugar check check and double checked all was working fine and bubbles were coming out perfectly..i was dead chuffed!

then disaster :( after about 20minutes i realised there was yeast foam working its way up the tube! i quickly unscrewed the cap on the bottle causing a bit of a spray but no harm done i thought..i just need to perfect the mixture....

but now the diffuser wont work at all! not even with an air hose attached, i thought it might be because there was water in it but i left it drying out overnight and it is now completly dry but still wotn work :( the little white disk wont let any air through!

anything i can do? have i broken it? and if so how? i dont want to make the same mistake twice

If air (or co2) comes out of everything else, sounds like some of the foam made its way to the defuser and clogged it up. If it's just an air stone, get another one or you can try soaking in hot water and afte,r flowing hot water thru it.

I agree. Try soaking in hot water; maybe some bleach too. Try a new mixture and make sure everything is air tight. It might also be a good idea to attach a reservoir bottle in between your mixture bottle and aquarium. This will help trap any funk that may come out before it reaches your tank.
