I can't find them without having to pay an arm and a leg for them. Can anyone help? I am from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and really want a pair of these fish. Also I am looking for a pair of Pseudotropheus demasoni. Thank you for your time.

Gratefully,

Charlie

Doesn't Oklahoma City have a fish club? When I was a member of the club in KC, I think we exchanged newsletters with the OKC club. Try doing a google search for Fish Clubs and see if one is local. Then, check with the club members because our club did lots of selling amongst ourselves and we also had two auctions per year where you could go buy fish at good prices.

Oklahoma City Aquarium Association, first founded in 1959, now in it's third incarnation started in '99 and growing quickly. I just added 4 memberships last night at our monthly meeting and we had 16 attend that were already part of the OKCAA. We have a fish/plant auction at every meeting. Usually 5-10 items, but I've got some great buys at them because of our BAP program. Members breed individual species for points and then the first 6 fry are sold at auction. I've gotten Tanganyikans that were completely unavailable in the stores for less than a dollar a fish. The BAP fish are in the 3-4 month range because of the BAP rules, but other adult fish are also brought in sometimes.

We also have a couple of member only outings every year like tours or road trips (TCA a couple of months back). We're doing a native fish collecting trip at the end of the month.
