Who knows? She's just a kid, and it looks like she was on TV, probably a little stress involved. Maybe her mind blanked on her and she just panicked.

Pretty sure that's a more likely explanation, as I would imagine that there were qualifying rounds of pageants that she competed in to get to the one shown. Had she not been able to put together any coherent thoughts in the previous pageants it's doubtful that she would have even advanced.

Well, you see, what I believe is that the problem with US Americans is that we don't spend enough time teaching them about proper grammar, just like in the Iraq and South Africa, where things like this are just terrible and one thing we could do is focus on US Americans first like AC Slater because he was like totally hot in Saved by the Bell but now he's just doing this lame beauty pageant gig that really shouldn't have to be done by a US American because someone from the Iraq or South Africa would get a lot more help out of it because I believe that doing that would help us understand what's wrong with them and maybe we could help them more just like we should be helping ourselves, US Americans, a lot more.
