Personally, I would go with the Aragamax.

That sand is perfect for burrowing animals, like your goby. They like the different sized substrates to create entrances to their caves...it enhances the structural integrity of the tunnel.
 
i would go with sand imo i think it looks better and works better but thats just me
 
Why not get both and use a mix of the two? While it's good to have 1.0 - 2.0 mm grain sizes for a burrowing goby, it's also good to have < 1.0 mm grain sizes for many sand dwelling microfauna (pods and such). In the 40g breeder we're in the process of setting up, I'm using a mix of different aragonite based sands to cover the range of grain sizes -- oolitic to 2.0+ mm.
