Bubbles in/on top of sand...

Wow. I just finished cleaning the glass on my tank and noticed the same thing in mine. Same situation w/the diatoms. I was thinking about posting the same question.

I'm having the same problem since my diatoms bloom is in full force.

I'm thinking the diatoms is temporary, so it'll pass I guess?
 
Mine got worse when I disturbed my sand bed from that temp spike I had. I'm hoping when my replacement powerheads come back the flow will help rid it. That and my sump is down so that pump isn't going either. Hopefully by this weekend all will be right again.
